Should Horses go Barefoot Or Wear Shoes By Norah Parks Do you shoe your horse or do you let him go bare foot?? This is my story about my race horse from barefoot to wearing shoes. It all started in 2005 when I foaled this little guy out my self, first time for this and it truly was amazing. I grew up on a farm and had delivered many calves but never a foal. They say its the same but with a cow the delivery could take most of a day, with a horse you have a time window of 30 to 40 min or you could loose the foal. Max (this is his name) was a text book delivery. We had a camera in the stall and we did literally took shifts to watch our tv sound and all.
